Multiple Data Centers, Regions, Availability Zones

Your service is safe with us. Carbyne utilizes multiple active data centers in clusters through multiple global regions. Each region is physically isolated from and independent of every other region in terms of location, power, water supply, etc.

The infrastructure includes multiple instances, designed for immediate availability and deployed in multiple availability zones, each of which is backed by one or more physical data centers.

What all this means, is that no single failure of a data center, zone, or region, whether from environmental or man-made causes, can take Carbyne offline. We’re airtight and reliable by design.

Instant Failover

Carbyne provides over 99.999% availability. In the event of a data center failure, whether due to a natural disaster, human error, or attack, customer data traffic is automatically rerouted with a load balancer to the remaining sites. Each availability zone is designed as an independent failure zone, redundantly connected to multiple tier-1 transit providers.

By distributing applications across multiple availability zones, Carbyne remains resilient in the face of most failure modes, including natural disasters or system failures.

Remote Access with Disaster Recovery

Build fast, recover faster. With Carbyne’s cloud-native solution, in the event of a disaster, all systems are available from any location with internet access, anywhere in the world. In combination with Instant Failover, this allows emergency call centers to be quickly set up and scaled up on an as-needs basis so that you can quickly get rescue operations running as quickly as possible without infrastructure and site-dependent hurdles.

Prioritize reliability and safety simultaneously. The Carbyne network has been architected to permit you to select the level of security and resiliency appropriate for your workload. Carbyne has implemented a world-class network infrastructure that is carefully monitored and managed, with built-in protective controls implemented by Carbyne to ensure the end-to-end security of the ecosystem.

Our network infrastructure leverages the industry best standards of OIDC and OAuth2.0 framework for authentication and authorization.

Security

Cloud, Physical, and Data Storage Security

Cloud Security

The Carbyne infrastructure is hosted on top of AWS and Azure, which enables our platform system to be compliant with most of the common programs available today. The IT infrastructure that AWS and Azure provide to their customers is designed and managed in alignment with security best practices and a variety of IT security standards, including:

• ISO 27001
• GDPR

Physical Security

With us, you’re covered. Carbyne security procedures include the physical protection of the system and its datacenter facilities 24/7/365. The maintenance of current security controls and the addition of new procedures are an integral part of the system and are provided without additional cost.

Data Storage Security

Protecting sensitive data is imperative to prevent attackers from compromising your systems and stealing data. Carbyne data security includes both preventative and detective controls to match data sensitivity appropriately. Carbyne’s advanced data protection includes:

Robust network security solutions, such as firewalls, network access controls, network monitoring and logging, to secure networks used to transmit data from malware attacks or intrusions.

Proactive security techniques identify at-risk data and implement effective data protection for data in transit via HTTPS/SSL and TLS, and data at rest with key encryption and management.

Data protection solutions that enable user prompting, blocking, or automatic encryption for sensitive data in transit, such as files moved to cloud storage or transferred elsewhere.

Encryption

Carbyne uses an SSL layer to secure voice, video, location, and personal data in transit and implements hardware-accelerated AES-256 encryption for stored data, automated backups, snapshots, and replicas.

Privacy

Carbyne values the privacy and safety of all of our users and employs industry-standard procedures and policies to maintain compliance with legal requirements such as GDPR. Our solutions include data encryption and access management to ensure the safety and security of personal information, and to prevent unauthorized use of this data

Cloud Native

We’re on the cloud for a good reason. Carbyne is a cloud-native solution that is specifically designed, developed, and deployed for cloud environments. A shared computing, storage, and network architecture enable true economies of scale and scope, driving instant elasticity and lowered costs.

Additionally, if a fire or flood strikes, the disruption is minimal to none, ensuring true business continuity for your contact centers. Cloud-native benefits include:

Infinite Scalability

Carbyne system components offer fast, flexible, and reliable support for an infinite number of users without compromising on its Restricted SLA (99.999%) for traditional voice services and advanced live video, location, and data services.

Cost Efficient

Carbyne’s cloud solution means a quick and efficient installation of the platform is possible. Our ongoing updates reduce the cost of maintaining, updating, and upgrading your system. The system resources can be quickly expanded in the event of unexpected demand, reducing the need to acquire redundant backup resources.
