The World Traveler Program is an exciting opportunity to travel within Europe for 6 weeks while exploring the different healthcare systems and medical practices in three different countries. While the Atlantis program structure is the same in each country, program participants get the chance to see the life of a doctor in a local hospital in Portugal, Serbia, and Greece.
Almada, a small port city with a large population will offer students an authentic Portuguese experience with excellent seafood and easy access to Lisbon, while the hospital is a really busy one with over 500 beds and a wide range of departments.
Belgrade, the heart of the Balkans and the capital of Serbia, offers a travel experience "off the beaten path" and a shadowing experience at the largest healthcare institution in the country with unique medical cases.
Thessaloniki is the 2nd largest city in Greece, with a busy port and a vivid university student life and a large hospital campus with 10 different buildings.
Program spots are limited, so be sure to ask your Admissions Coordinator if you’re interested in our World Traveler Program!
